Jumpstart Your
New Year’s Business with Expert Network Consulting Brokers
If you’re
looking for a way to augment your business for this New Year look no
further than our Monday, January 18 MCF meeting. Our guest speaker did
just that just over a year ago when he started his own new consulting
firm, SageBerry Consulting, LLC, after leaving a successful career with
the prestigious retailer, Neiman Marcus. Today Steven Dennis advises
retail, consumer and luxury brands on customer-centric growth strategy
and marketing as well as serving as an executive-in-residence at SMU’s
Cox School of Business.
In Steven’s forward-thinking presentation he will share with us how to
use expert network consulting brokers as a complement to your consulting
business. Using industry leader Gerson Lehrman Group as a case study, he
will describe how to use GLG’s Consulting Management Platform to gain
access to the largest marketplace of consulting requests in the world.
So, what is the GLG Consulting Group? It is a council made up of
industry-focused networks of executives, physicians, scientists,
engineers, attorneys, market researchers and other professionals from
around the world. Members of the GLG Councils are compensated for
consulting with global business and investment leaders on topics within
their areas of expertise and provide their industry-specific knowledge
through telephone consultations, online surveys and in-person meetings
among other consulting methods.
Many of GLG’s clients are private equity companies, but also include
other consulting firms and direct B2B and B2C companies as well.
Membership is free to consultants and provides opportunities to act as
an expert as well as to educate business, government and investment
leaders. As a Council member you are placed in one or more of GLG’s 14
different council specialties, including such categories as automotive,
technology and transportation.
In just over a year working with GLG, Steven Dennis has augmented his
own business by executing more than 50 GLG phone consultations, leading
GLG roundtables in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, conducting
more than a dozen private consultation visits and securing one extended
engagement. In his presentation he will tell you how you can augment
your practice too by:
-
Understanding the various expert network players
-
Becoming a GLG Council Member
-
Finding projects, including choosing your area of expertise and setting your
own fees
-
Understanding the contracting and payment process
-
Marketing your expertise via member programs and writing GLG news
In a New Year
facing a New Era of business growth challenges, don’t miss this
opportunity to explore new ways to energize and augment your consulting
business by giving it an incredible jump start.
