Management
Consultant’s Forum Hear the consulting Lessons Learned from two of the DFW Metroplex's most successful and experienced independent consulting practice leaders. Recognized for their success both nationally and in our community, these two professionals have offered to open up their bag of secrets to the rest of us. In 1976, two eager men began their respective consulting firms – both in Dallas. Ed Stone began his marketing consulting and market research firm and Rollie Waters started his HR consulting practice. They survived being a start-up, the oil and gas crisis and other entrepreneurial pitfalls. 30 years later, both men are winding down their careers in different ways but have much to tell. Some war stories, some silver bullets, and pearls of wisdom. This fast-paced, from-the-gut session is a must for all consultants at any stage of their practices. Both friends and professional confidants of IMC since 1990, they have learned from experience through professional ups, downs, glories and defeats. Now standing strong and preparing for retirement, both will share their good and bad experiences with fellow IMC members. They will share the many lessons learned which can be valuable assets as others move their practices forward. Learn the many simple concepts which have been borne out over time which can help consultants to be more successful. These concepts can be beneficial in marketing and branding of your services; from client relationship management, fee strategies, managing engagements, building a staff of professionals and maintaining credibility as a consultant.
